HB 0477 | Creates alternative method of obtaining a temporary driving permit |
HB 477 - This act allows a person to obtain a temporary permit at the age of 15 if the person completes a driver training program. This may be taken in lieu of completing 20 hours of driving instruction with the person's parent or legal guardian. This act also allows a person to operate a motor vehicle in the immediate presence of a driving training instructor at the age of 15 1/2 years.
This act is similar to a provision contained in SCS/SB 36
(2001).
